This blog is a compilation of conversations between my students, other teachers, the parents and I. My purpose is to illustrate the importance of art education in my local community. The arts allow the children’s spirit of their imaginations to soar and creates a deeper understanding of the world around them.

So, today in art...Me: You must draw at least 3 people in your picture. One of them must be you. You must pick a location or setting. I am gonna put my friends Tanya and John in my picture. Student: I know Tanya. Me: No you don't. Student: Yes I do. She has long hair some days, short hair some days, curly some days, and straight some days. Me: Yes...that's Tanya. Student: And your other friend has a big head. Me: I see you know John too.
