This blog is a compilation of conversations between my students, other teachers, the parents and I. My purpose is to illustrate the importance of art education in my local community. The arts allow the children’s spirit of their imaginations to soar and creates a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Teacher: The kids told me you were running around their neighborhoods dressed like Superman. Me: Well, its just a Superman t-shirt. Teacher: No...they are saying that you are running around in full costume!!! Cape, boots, and all! Me: Bhahahahahahahhahah...wow!!!!! Another teacher: One of my kids said she saw you flying. So, today in art...Student: Do you like super heroes? Me: Yes. Do you? Student: Yes. Me: Who's your favorite? Student: Well....I like the Flash and then I like Superman and then I like Green Lantern and one time, there was this one time when my friends and me were playing super heroes and my friend and his cousin and my sister and our cousin and this other guy and his mom's friend's son were all playing super heroes. And one time we were playing Lego super heroes and I was going to be the Human Torch and I got to be the Human Torch and then I blewed them up. Blewed them right up. Me: Well...thanks for sharing.
