So, today in art...All moved in to my new room. Cleaned up, threw a lot of stuff away and unpacked. Now...Summer Vacation!!!! Stayed tuned for new stories and new art work in the Fall.

So, today in art...Today is the last day of school.  We say goodbye to a little ones.  We will miss you!

So, today in art...Student: I checked your lunch bag and there is no rabbit like you said. Me: He has a part-time job. When he is not protecting my lunch he is at his other job. Student: What kind of job. Me: He jumps out of hats. He gets like $20 a hat.

So, today in art....Student:  You're going down Mr. Smith!  Me:  No.  You are!  Student:  NO!!!  You are!!!  Me:  Lets do this then!!  Student:  Ok!!

So, today in art...Students: I hope you remember us. Me: Forever and ever!

So, today in art...Student: Mr. Smith, I drew your picture? Me: OMG!!!! That looks just me. You're awesome.

So, today in art...The 4th grade studied Greek Mythology for their last project of the year.  I gave them that had to pick a Greek god/goddess and write a research paper.  I gave them them a picture that the had to color, cut out, glue to a piece of drawing paper and create a setting for their subject matter.

So, today in art...Students:  Can we get a big piece of paper and splash paint on it?  Me:  I don't see why the Jackson Pollock not!!!

So, today in art...Me: Boys and girls it has been a great year, you guys have done some wonderful work and I wish I could continue to work with you but sadly I have been moved to another school. You will have a new art teacher next year but I am sure she will love you as much as I do because you are so awesome, talented, and wonderful little people. Students: Nooooooo! You can't leave. I don't want you to go. Me: And I don't want to go but we are all going to be great. I want you to be good, listen to your teachers, and continue being awesome!!! Students: Yes sir. We will.

So, today in art....Student: Look, I have a unibrow. Me: Yes...Yes you do.

So, today in art...Student: My little brothers name is fat fat...........because he is so fat.

So, today in art...Student: I have poison ivy and my mom covered me with this white stuff. I feel bad. Me: Air hug? Student: AIR HUGS!!!!

PSA....Air hugs are also good for wring worm, lice, colds, sunburns, mumps, measles, etc...

So, today in art...Me: Ummmmmm! A Hooters shirt? For real dude? Student: Its what makes you happy.
